Audience Network Recirculation Ads in related articles
After receiving feedback from many publishers a few months Facebook started trailing placing native ads in the related articles section of their Instant Articles. Calling them “Recirculation Ads” they are automatically placed at the bottom of your Instant Article amongst the related articles and deliver a more native ad that shows readers relevant, high quality ads from the Facebook network. Facebook claim that in tests so far for a small number of publisher they saw a noticeable increase in revenue per 1,000 page views.
Recirculation Ads in WP Native Articles
WP Native Articles added support for Recirculation Ads in version 1.2.2. In your WordPress admin, if you go to the WP Native Articles menu then the Facebook Instant Articles sub-menu then the General tab and scroll to the ads section at the bottom of the page you’ll find the Recirculation Ads input box. You can’t use the same placement ID that you’re currently using for your audience network ads, you will need to create a new one. After you’ve created a new placement using your Audience Network dashboard on Facebook, just copy the placement ID and paste it into the box and hit save. Ads should then automatically start showing up in your related articles. Currently you can only place Audience Network ads there.
You can read more about it from the official blog post here or read the developer documentation and how to implement it here.
